Zachary Cordell returns to New South Wales to find his estranged father’s widow. Zac is certain that Elizabeth Marshall married his father for his money and he wants revenge. He becomes confused, however, when he arranges a position as handyman for Elizabeth and finds her living in a modest home, starting up a business designing lingerie on consignment. She doesn’t appear to be living luxuriously or spending her ill-gotten gains. What’s more, she seems nice – nothing like the gold-digger he expected – and Zac finds his revenge complicated by his growing attraction to Elizabeth.
Faint sounds of a meal in preparation came from the kitchen and clashed with the peaceful aura of the evening outside.

Regan tried to turn his thoughts away from the diminutive brown-eyed woman who'd bewitched him, though not with her charm, he conceded. She'd been brusque with him. But she'd piqued his sense of challenge and he wouldn't get her out of his thoughts easily. He didn't want to think about how long it had been since he'd spent any time in the company of a woman. No wonder she intrigued him.

A Time For Love
He glanced towards her cabin, its light a beacon amongst the unoccupied vans. She was still awake. Should he pay her a visit? He sighed. Part of him considered the pursuit of their former friendship, another part cautioned him against it. He didn’t need to become involved with any woman, least of all a married one, even if the woman in question was Claire.

His heart weighed heavy as he wondered then about her husband. How did he feel about her being away from him, about staying in her boss’ cabin?

Nick shoved his hands in his pockets and cursed softly as he walked towards the lake. He’d not get to sleep for hours yet. It would drive him crazy being cooped up in his cabin, staring at the walls. He’d be like a caged bear, stressed over its lack of freedom.

He stopped as he reached the lake, picked up a stone and skimmed it across the calm, moonlit surface. The pebble disappeared with a soft plop.

“Do you always throw stones into the lake in the middle of the night?” A gentle female voice spoke from the depths of the shadows.

Fate drove devil-may-care Jake Harrigan to Nicolette Oliver’s doorstep.  Nic can’t allow her attraction for Jake to develop.  Her goal is to re-establish her career as a dancer.  Is it worth the risk to give in to the temptation of Jake’s kisses, even on a temporary basis?  Would Jake repeat the same mistakes as her late husband?   Could she live with the likely end result?

Nic had got under his skin that very first night he’d stolen a kiss from her.  She was all that Jake wanted, yet his choice of lifestyle and loyalty to Mark, his former camera-man and Nic’s late husband, prevented Jake from fostering his attraction to her.  Would that be enough for him to keep his distance from the fragile, yet independent, brunette?
