There is an Urakian uprising and enemy warriors swarm the land.
One woman is named in an ancient Elisian prophecy. She is Tannith, Princess of Ellenroh, descendant of Dragonbane, King of the old code. But Sernon also desires the famed talisman. He believes that with the right ritual he can use the Cross to open portals to other worlds that will lead him to treasure and unbelievable power.
In a perilous land, facing an uncertain future, Tannith pins her hopes on two men: Kaden of the Wolfhead, second son of a cursed king, haunted by his failure to save his family, and stop his older brother from being transformed to an Ice Tiger; and Etanandril Jarrisendel, Captain of the Elisian Elite, her childhood friend, and the man who loves her.

FACE OF A STRANGER
Part One - Spellbound
Isabella stretched lazily and opened one sleepy eye. Rolling onto her elbow she watched Ivan in the dim light of the bedroom. He stood at the penthouse dresser, straightening his black silk tie. Although he must have heard her wake, he didn't turn.
"Be ready at six," he said, his cultured voice breaking harsh into the silence. "I'll have the limo pick you up. We're dinning with Vladimir Chevtsov and his wife at the Tatiana Hotel." He scooped his dove-gray suit jacket from the end of the queen-size bed and bent to touch his lips in a hard, passionless kiss to her own. He withdrew a slim black jewelry case from his jacket pocket, snapped open the lid and placed the case on the bedside table. A glittering necklace of diamonds lay on a bed of royal blue velvet. Isabella had no doubt that the stones were real. However, she viewed them dispassionately, their cold beauty just another symbol reminding her she belonged to Ivan.
"Wear something sexy. Chevtsov has a passion for red-heads, and he is an important man." Ivan threw her a hasty smile that didn't quite light his eyes, and crossed the beige carpet. She heard the door close with a soft click, wondering with a sick feeling when it had happened. When had she exchanged her position as Ivan's fiancee, the woman he loved, for his whore? It seemed that it was the brush she was now tarred with.
He was in her room. She watched while his valet helped him off with his topcoat and muddy boots, and knelt to add more wood to the dying fire in the black marble fireplace. The man he called Bevan, retired taking his master's boots with him.
She shivered as the kindling burst to flame and the fire danced higher in the grate. How she hated fire. Although she felt none of its heat, still she remembered its torturous bite as it stole the life from her body. She crossed her hands over her chest in a protective gesture and moved closer to the man standing by the bed. He was loosening the buttons of his white lawn shirt.
He looked so like her love, if she could have wept, she would. His hair was blue-black like Cai's, but whereas Cai's had fallen in a tangle of curls past his shoulders, this man's was trimmed short and sat just above his pointed collar.
His features looked softer, less angular, yet he seemed to carry an aura of deep sadness that she could not explain. As Alyssa watched he pulled his neck cloth from around his throat and tossed it onto a nearby brocade chair. A cravat, she thought they called it. Fashion had changed much over the last two centuries, but she had stayed abreast of it, watching people move in and out over the years, hearing them talk.
She smiled. None ever stayed long. Though, in a strange sort of way she missed them.
